Soldiers Mural in Schreiber

Volunteers in Schreiber donated their time for the creation of a new mural on the site of the town cenotaph to honour fallen soldiers. Darlene Sitko (Fummerton) got the idea during a recent trip to Florida. The original art came from a poster that had been published earlier by the Schreiber Media Centre to celebrate Remembrance Day. Residents donated money towards the purchase of paint and supplies from Cebrario Hardware, who also gifted some of the materials. The owner of the building, Cosmo Filane, was very happy to help out by giving the artists the wall.
